Meriaura Energy has signed a another major deal – a 5M€ contract to deliver a 12 600 m² solar thermal plant to the city of Lübeck. The plant helps decarbonize the district heating network of Lübeck. The delivery also includes a smaller photovoltaic field. This is a major milestone for Meriaura Energy in the German market, continuing the growth trajectory of the company in the district heating decarbonization segment in Germany.

Meriaura Energy

An approximately 3,000 m² solar thermal field enables the replacement of 2,410 MWh of former gas-heated heat with renewable heat on Narbonne’s city network, managed by a subsidiary of Dalkia.

On behalf of newHeat, Meriaura Energy constructed most of the solar plant, from the solar collector field to the outlet of the heat exchanger to the storage thermal tank. Over 200 of our collectors ensure a high energy yield, reducing 510 tons of CO2 emissions annually from the city’s district heating system.
